Tie a scarf

Image of sunglasses, brown leather bag and a silk scarf tied loosely around the bag handles

Who first tied a scarf around their bag?

Probably some unknown, stylish woman.

For famous women, I thought, perhaps, Jackie Kennedy might have been one of the first?

Why do we do it?

It’s fun.

It personalises your bag and your outfit.

It’s a nice contrast of fabrics: silk against leather, or silk against straw.

It’s practical too, you can use the scarf when it rains, or is windy.

It’s a 5 minute style fix and it’s perfect for this time of year.

Go and tie one now.

It doesn’t have to stay the same.

You can change it every day.

Enjoy!
