Love your body
You’re in this life together, so
I recommend making friends with yourself
Practicing self care is a great way to start
One evening have a bath
in the candlelight
Apply your favourite scented moisturiser
Wrap up in a fluffy oversized robe
Paint your nails
Read a book or magazine
Have the light levels low
Drink a cup of tea
Breathe deeply
Love your body
by being intentional about what you eat and drink
Cramming your mouth with food and drink
because you’re anxious or exhausted
is not self care
Loving your body is giving space for your body to feel
and accepting it
not trying to smother it with peanut butter
or wine
Notice what you are doing
Loving your body is not living on autopilot
Loving your body looks like self compassion
Stop being so hard on yourself
What does self compassion look like to you
What are you being hard on yourself about
and you could stop right now
Don’t isolate yourself
Most of us feel inadequate and on our own at some point
It’s not just you
It’s part of the human experience
Your reaction is what makes it unique
So choose to love your body
It is a choice
You’re not obliged to hate your body
That is totally optional
Start by doing something kind to yourself
If you don’t have time for the bath time ritual
Just make fifteen minutes space in your day
and do something just for you
Sit in the garden
or on the sofa
Do fifteen minutes of stretching
or ballet
or yoga
or weights
Do the thing that gets you in touch with you
and accepts you wholeheartedly
